SouthAnglers is built by design as a small company, privately owned and operated by the Chilean guide, Diego Guerrero. Diego has a degree on Administration in Ecotourism and has been guiding in Patagonia since 2000.
A certified fly-fishing guide, since 97’ he has traveled voraciously throughout the Chilean Patagonia in search of the perfect fishing spot. As a result of all that accumulated experience and knowledge, whether its wading or floating a Patagonian stream, Diego’s commitment to all South Anglers guests is to take them to where the fish are,
moving graciously at the Patagonian charming rythm, providing you with the seductive feel and essence of this remote land.
It is our intention to involve the local community in our operation as much as we can. Specifically, to carry out our backcountry adventures we count on skilled local “gauchos” that with great enthusiasm help us with all the necessary logistics for these unforgettable trips into the unspoiled wilderness of Patagonia. |

Our logo represents one of the most interesting Patagonian creatures, the giant Cantaria (Chiasognathus granti). After a long period as larvae, this beetle hatches in the woods, where it lives, feeds and mate. While flying in search of food or a mating couple, they tend to accidentally fall in the water and that is where it all begins. |
